We'd like to make finance make sense.
Finance has a way of sounding like a private club, full of jargon, acronyms, and a tone that quietly says “this isn't for you.” We started Not Into Finance because we felt that way too, and thought it could be different.
We're a research, education, and community space that tries to take the complicated stuff and explain it the way a normal person would. The name says it best. It's for the people who aren't into finance yet, and just want a place to understand it.

A real mix of people:
Plain language
No jargon for the sake of it. If a term needs explaining, we explain it.
No gatekeeping
You don't need a finance degree or a big portfolio to be welcome here.
Learning together
We learn as a community, and asking questions out loud is the whole point.
Three ways we hope to help
Research, education, and community. Three sides of the same goal: helping more people feel at home with finance.
Research
Honest, readable research on companies and markets. We do the digging and try to lay it out clearly, without the walls of jargon.
Education
The big finance ideas, broken down step by step. Start from zero and actually walk away understanding it.
Topics we cover
Community
A friendly room full of people figuring this out together. A place to ask, share, learn, and grow your confidence along the way.
A few ways to get involved
However you'd like to start, you're welcome here.
From community, to community
Beyond research and education, we believe in giving back to the community. Through #NiFiBerbagi, we spend time with and support children at local orphanages.
